Ugh this saddens my day, I have tickets for the last performance and she won't perform.

Well I guess it will be good to see the replacement whom i haven't seen.
Um, she couldn't stay one extra week?

I know, one week couldn't hurt....although I can't wait to see the person who's playing the role!
If you read the article you'd know who is taking over the role.

I think they meant they can't wait to see the replacement perform.
Ah, you are right. I misread that.

Good riddance. In my opinion, she was the weakest link in the show.
Not the weakest link by far (*Mario Lopez*) but still not a good Cassie in my opinion.
She grew too lazy in her MATM. At the start of the run, I thought she was great, but then when I saw her in January, she was off with the steps, and just wasn't trying, IMO.

This was discussed extensively on the "Jessica Lee Goldyn as Gassie" thread.
She has a prior commitment that would have required her to miss that she can not get out of.
After watching her a few weeks ago, I actually thought she was great, not stunning. Not phenomenal. But I enjoyed her a lot, and was impressed.
Why is she leaving a week before the show is over? Was this always her exit date? Seems odd.

I totally posted that before you responded.

WonderBoy- I didn't see Mario Lopez. I saw it towards the beginning of the run, so with that cast I did think she was the weakest link.
Did anyone find this article a tad misleading up until the parts where they listed the cast members, including Jessica as Val?

I know for sure that Charlotte has a conflict almost directly after her scheduled last day.

She's teaching at a Musical Theatre intensive camp.

I've seen ACL way too many times -- love the show like no other. Still, I've seen Char's dancing wind down. Honestl;y, I can't blame her. She's a total trooper and not young for a dancer. Last time was about a month ago and it was a Sat mat performance and it was much more toned down. It's probably not possible to do what she did initially for two years. Sad to see her go and sad to see the show close.
Just thought I'd throw this in: Be very happy you're going to see Jessica as Cassie (and this is coming from one of the few who actually liked Charlotte).
I'm not a Charlotte fan or a Charlotte hater, but I do think it's wonderful that she's keeping her commitment to the camp, because I've heard from many there that they are excited out of their minds to have her. And the commitment has been in place for a long time.
Why people keep posting about how odd or stupid it is for her to miss the last week of ACL, when this information has been posted multiple times, is beyond me.
