Hello. I recently had a chat with a fellow who knows quite a few people in the Broadway community. He mentioned an interesting tidbit about Betty Buckley. Although she is obviously talented and awe-inspring... she apparently is a b.o.w. Whenever she goes into a restaurant, she takes a personal thermometer to gauge the temp. of soup. On one occasion, she sent her soup back three times, because it was not to her liking. I've also read a few things here and there about Faye Dunaway and the terror she inspires amongst workers in restaurants. (Speaking of Faye... will she EVER make that "Master Class" film or has her option run out?) from RC in Austin, Texas

Is this for all of our favorite stars or just Betty Buckley?
I'm going to leave it open for interpretation and say mine:
This can be endearing or not, depending on who you are, but Adam Pascal has some serious spelling/grammar issues. I actually think it's kinda cute. :)

I think Sutton Foster's uneven eyebrows are really creepy, like she's judging you silently.
To each his/her own, though.

Jonathan Crombie - fairly open, loquacious guy who manages to be very enigmatic at the same time. Don't know if that's so much a quirk as a weird skill.
Idina Menzel - her penchant for swearing in concert when she makes a mistake. Funny, reall stuff.

I saw Nicol Williamson in "Rex". Someone whispered in the audience. Nicol heard him. And believe you me, that man got a stop and stare that would wither your balls into blueberries.
Apparently, he dressed down actors for their performances right in front of the audience.
I'd have knocked his lights out for that. F.O.A.

"what does b.o.w. stand for"
"witch on wheels" but with a letter change at the beginning of "witch".

Posted: 12/18/07 at 8:27amI kind of think, in interviews, whenever Idina Menzel is asked a question, she answers it in this like, breathy, intense voice, like she's about to give the most profound answer. A really deep, philosophical kind of tone...even if she's asked like, "what's it like to be painted green?"

Semi-funny Lupone/stagedoor story
I waited for about 2 hours for her to come out after the final performance of Gypsy. There was this semi-crazy woman who was trying to get every cast member to sign her playbill in THREE different places, and when Patti finally came out, the crazy lady BEGGED her to sign three times. Patti just looked at her and said: "I don't do that." I asked her then to both sign my playbill AND take a picture...and she obliged! I waited and watched her sign for about half an hour. At the end, her family walked out of the theater (she has a 16 year old son). And I looked at her son and husband, who, like me, were still absolutely GLOWING from the show and said: "It must be really cool when she sings in the shower!" And they laughed!" I felt really awesome. hahaha

Posted: 12/18/07 at 8:56amI was at a dinner at Jo Allen's in London with a group of people that included Idena and she conducted herself in the upper levels of 'pure bitch' the entire evening. It was like eating with a spoilt child of 8. She showed no interest in anything anyone had to say unless it included the word 'Wicked'! She became very unpopular at the table during the meal and i think she began to notice that the English wont suck up to her as the Americans do. People were stopping to say 'hi' to here during the evening but most noticed the attitude very fast and just ignored her before saying 'goodbye'! Not a nice lady.
