Cheaper War Horse Tickets?

Ok, so I'm dying to see War Horse. I'm definitely willing to buy a full price ticket but would like to see if there's a slightly cheaper option, if I can.

Does anyone know if there's a discount or student/rush tickets?

There's a discount code on Broadway Box for it, still way more than a student rush/lotto price but less than full price. I haven't heard anything about a rush or lotto.

As it's a play, it's always possible it'll end up on TDF, since most plays tend to end up there at some point.

Lincoln Center Theater does student tickets for $30 two hours before curtain, limit 1 per valid student ID. However, tickets are subject to availability, and since War Horse has basically been selling out, I have no idea whether they've had any student tickets available.

Lincoln Center also has a "StudentTix" program that allows you to join and then pre-order student tickets, but it's been closed to new members for as long as I can remember.

It's $30 for rush at Lincoln Center now?

Polka Dot, are you local? If so, you should really just stop by the Beaumont and ask if they think they'll have rush tickets available (although they can't sell them before the 2 hour mark). The staff at the Beaumont is very helpful with rush.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

Unless they are holding some tickets specifically for rush, I honestly don't think they are going to have rush tickets anytime soon. The show is selling out every night and as word of mouth gets out its going to become an even hotter ticket.

Bite the bullet and get the 70 dollar lodge seat. You'll be glad you did.

Yeah, I really didn't expect that they would have rush tickets, especially since it's a limited run. Thanks for the discount code. Don't know if I'll be able to go within that time frame, but $75 really isn't that bad anyway. And maybe they'll come out with another discount later on. In any case, Lincoln Center here I come! :)

You might want to think about joining Lincoln Center whenever the membership opens up. It's $50 a year, but with it, shows like Women on the Verge and War Horse are $40 or $50. And amazingly, they will even issue you a ticket refund if you buy a seat for one of their shows and change your mind before you go, which I've already done a couple of times, too...just saying!

Your best bet is to try student rush. The seats are always great, considering there really isn't a bad seat in the Beaumont. However, as someone said, the show has been selling well and the tickets are only available if seats are available.

I'd give it a shot regardless.
