I disagree with almost everything Mister Matt says about the Danish recording. How can you say the orchestrations are scaled down? What are you listening to? They are much tighter and better than the OLC. Definitely. Just compare the "Nobody's Side" and "One Night in Bangkok" on each recording and tell me the OLC is better. Cast wise, I like both the Danish and OLC equally. I have no issues there. The Swedish Concert recording is definitely not up to the standards of the DC and OLC recordings. Like I said, I bought the DC when it was released on footlight.com and I haven't listened to the OLC once since.
I really like Chess Pa Sevenska. It is beautifully orchestrated and well sung. The new song for Svetlana is beautiful - the best in the show IMO and Molokov is great too. The score has also been updated and has a new and improved "Arbiter". Interestingly, there is no "One Night in Bangkok"! Still, it's a nice change.
I LOVE Kristina fran Duvemala. It contains one of the best scores I have ever heard for a musicl. Brilliant.
