Cheyenne Jackson & Kevin Cahoon starring in Pasadena Playhouse's LA CAGE, directed by Sam Pinkleton

Cheyenne Jackson is LUXURY casting for Georges, even by Pasadena Playhouse standards! And Sam Pinkleton is an ideal director for the piece. I can't even imagine how funny the Albin sequences will be with him directing Kevin Cahoon.

The upcoming production will also feature music direction by Darryl Archibald, choreography by Ani Taj, scenic design by David Zinn, costume design by David Reynoso, lighting design by Stacey Derosier, and sound design by Daniel Erdberg and Ursula Kwong Brown.

I just wish the original orchestration was still available to rent, but the only materials rented out now are the 2010 Revival version, which is Harvey Fierstein's preference for the book and has a small cabaret-style band.

Does this have commercial producers enhancing it or are you merely speculating? This is a great group of people but I'd be shocked if it transferred to Broadway sans star, even if it gets glowing reviews.

I'd like to see La Cage done in a nightclub setting, though. Or on a runway like the current CATS.

This NEEDS to come to Broadway!
