Just to be clear, I thought Jackson was the *understudy" to Emmick. Here is another one of those Broadwayworld "wonders", a name I've only read, and read, and read about here. So it's Jackon, Creel, Essen, and Hill, right? These are the golden boys of Broadwayworld and to say even the slightest negative, albeit, true thing will get your post erased...Am I right, BG2, help me out here. Is this the clique of male untouchables? (no pun intended).

Yes, Chey will be understudying Jarrod Emick.

re: Cheyenne has me ALL SHOOK UP. I know there's an unofficial female Demi-God, untouchables list too, but there doesn't seem to be quite the same level of ferver, adulation and/or protectiveness by the powers that be. And quite franky, I at least *know* who some of the ladies are. I have NO idea who Hill, or Jackson are, or why they instill such cries of passion from the members here. Essen, well, him I just don't get, never will.

Haha...something makes me think most of those guys you mentioned receive their cries of passion because of their looks and not neccessarily their talent.

You're absolutely right. It's how it's always been. I personally, like my studs with a shot of talent but I'm going to take BG2's word for it about Jackson because that's about all I can go on.

Jackson isn't BAD, I just don't think his talent alone would've ever produced the amount of discussion that there is about him on this board...same thing with Gavin.

Adam Fleming, from what I've seen and heard, is quite talented.

*there is a reason I love Adam so much.. he is a TOTAL dynamo on stage.

*Chey DOES get alot of press for his looks, but he backs it upw ith talent. same with Gav. Their looks may get them press, but they have the talent.

Well, maybe there's a reason for that? It's hard to be great eight times a week. Some actors are very well suited to being stand-by's. But still, Von Essen, I just don't get.

Al - what's up with Essen? We're thinking of going to Dorian in LA with him in the lead, but we've never seen him before.

Are you kidding about Gavin? Yes, hes beautiful but his voice--ugh! His voice is amazing, IMO one of the best on Broadway.

And sorry bout posting that he wasnt understudying, i misread it.

Gavin's got a great voice, but he's not much of an actor. I will forever be confused as to why he is more loved in the role of Jimmy than Christian was. Christian could sing and he was an ACTOR...more importantly.

I think Gavin is a great actor. He is so honest and so real, when I watched him I felt like I was watching Jimmy (& hollis in Bounce) not Gavin playing Jimmy. The first time I saw Christian as Jimmy I didnt get that impression at all. Although I thought he was great the second time I saw him

If only Cheyenne were full-time Chad and not just the understudy. Chad's supposed to be hot, and Jarrod Emmick is, well...not hot.

Anyway, I'm excited, that show needs more hot men.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH Dawg has been enjoying his retirement for a few months now, but an obnoxious post from Al Dente has caused an unfortunate return for the pup.

Al-How can you not GET Max von Essen? He quite clearly has one of the most beautiful male voices broadway has heard in several years. It's a classic sound that imbues the likes of Alfred Drake and John Raitt. It of course does not hurt that he's a VERY handsome young man, but his talent far outshines his looks.

And Cheyenne...this boy has looks and talent to spare. He's a big ole hunk o' man, reminiscent of the brooding leading men of years gone by.

Gavin Creel-are there any arguments here?

Al-do you enjoy anyone really or is your sole purpose to complain, bitch and moan about the things you feel you could do better?
