"Cheyenne Jackson, who opens in Xanadu July 10, will miss several performances of that new Broadway musical later this month.
Jackson, according to a press release, will not perform in the musical at the Helen Hayes Theatre July 17-27 due to a prior commitment. During his absence the role of Sonny will be covered by actors Curtis Holbrook and Andre Ward, alternately.
Jackson is scheduled to return to Xanadu July 28"
ALAS I shall miss him, but I will still be doing the 'DU on the 20th.

Posted: 7/10/07 at 2:22pmI would love to see Curtis as Sonny, so I'll be going that week too. My friend saw Andre, and said he was hysterical too. So whoever you see, it's a win/win!

Posted: 7/10/07 at 3:08pmI saw Curtis on a few weeks back, and he was fantastic. VERY funny, and he has an amazing voice. He and Kerry were also too cute together because they're both so little!

F***! I have tickets for the 22nd! Why couldn't they announce this before???
I'll still go...it's for the Sunday 3 pm performance...will Curtis perform?

C'mon guys !!! Its a LIVE SHOW -- Cheyenne will be in CT for those dates..
Besides Andre & Curtis are both good. Ive seen Curtis on 6/17, Cheyenne
on 6/23... I wish I see Andre too ! I heard he was good ! I might see it again when
James comes back 
I actually very curious to see Annie Golden to do Jackie's role !!
BTW Marty Thomas is very good as Thalia the muse ( I saw him last 6/17)
