I have seen several postings on this board...
I have seen the show a couple of times..never been dissappointed and Terra C macleod and Charlotte are a dynamic duo. Beautiful women.
I think the sound was great last night..but from what I have heard and read from other postings it seems that it does go in and out.
The cast is top notch after all this time..I applaud them all.

I'd have to say I agree completely.
The sound can be weird in the Ambassador too... there are certain parts of the theatre where it dips in and out. That's not at all fault of the actors and actresses though.

I'm going on SUnday so I'll be sure to let you all know what I think. I'm usually pretty critical so you can be sure that I won't go easy on anyone. However I have a good feeling about it. I'm excited.

Please do! I'd love to hear what you think. I'll be taking a return trip to Chicago soon myself.

I am very ashamed to admit I have not yet seen Chicago. But I will very soon! I noticed there are great ticket discounts, so this show is definitely on my list.
CJR, you wrote earlier that the sound can be weird in the Ambassador in certain parts of the theatre where it dips in and out. Is this in the orchestra or mezzanine? Front, middle, or back? Thankx.
Could this be why it sounded to me from the rush seats like there was no sound coming out of her voice? Then again, it was only her so . . .

It's honestly just random parts of the theatre... I've typically sat either front center orchestra or the rush seats and had no problems whatsoever.
Bronx, don't you dare start your sh!t about Terra again...

I wasn't starting it. The subject was the sound in the Chicago Theatre. Thanks, though.

It was your unnessicary comment about Terra being the only one you couldn't hear. Back up off the woman, okay? I'm thrilled your babbling other thread was deleted.

Oh Ebonic... another one who has little faith in me! I'm surprised at you! I have better places to focus my energy.

I saw the show in Rush. And the sound was great. Didn't have one problem hearing Terra.

Do yo uknow if there is a cast recording of the Spanish production of Chicago?

Which one? There is one, but it's not the Mexico City production. I believe it's the one from Argentina... I've only ever seen it on Ebay though

Saw Chicago yesterday an dI thought it was wonderful. I was nervous after some of the bashing that has gone on in reference to the current Velma Kelly. I thought Terra was great. My only complaint would be that I felt she was being a little too "Bebe" but she did a great job. And I adore Wayne Brady's voice. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
Glad you enjoyed it... Wish I could get back there to see it again... Just saw it in August but didn't get to see Wayne...

I saw Chicago with Charlotte as Roxie and Terra as Velma and I have to say that I've definitely seen better casts. But also worse castings as well.
I saw Chita Rivera some years ago as Roxie in the London production and she was the best Roxie I've ever seen! Talking about charisma!! Sadly, Valarie Pettiford (who was fab in Fosse!) played Velma opposite Rivera, I thought VP was a total miscasting.
Bebe Neuwirth as Velma and Chita Rivera as Roxie... now that would be a dream casting for those roles.

I went to see Chicago yesterday afternoon for my sweet 16! Mtyseats were front row orchestra, and the show was amazing! I thought the entire cast was phenomenal and would definitely go back to see it again.
