Harvey won't even fit into the slicky costumes. And he's capable of things that aren't in drag!

Rod would be a great Mama. Bring back the boa!

Rod's a puppet right everyone? Mama is not supposed to be a puppet! How about Delta Burke as Mama?

I saw Jennifer Holliday as Mama and that was IT for me. No joke.

What would think of Kristin Chenoweth as Roxie and Susan Egan as Velma? Would they look great together?

In May, I saw Roz Ryan as Mamma. There were two VERY young and VERY gay boys sitting in front me. During intermission, they said they didn't know who she was before then, but that they were gonan start watching Roz's TV series after seeing her in the show

I love Roz; that's my girl right there. She's incredibly talented. (and she does a cabaret show too -- July 12 and 19 at the Skylight Room re: Chicago)

Gotta give the props to J-Ho as Mama too.... She rocks my socks off.

As for Kristen as Roxie... eh, not so much.

My dream cast?
Roxie: Donna Lynne Champlin
Velma: Michele Pawk
Mama: Vicki Frederick
Billy: Denzel Washington (I can dream, can't I?? lol)
Amos: Rob Bartlett (he's my absolute favorite Amos EVER!)

Combined favorite casts out of all the casts I've seen would be a different list though....

Roxie: Tracy Shayne or Bianca Marroquin
Velma: Roxane Carrasco
Mama: Michele Pawk or Roxane Carrasco
Billy: Eric Jordan Young, Shawn Emamjomeh or Michael Kubala
AmosL: Rob Bartlett

*sigh* I've seen this show tooooooooooo many times.

I thought I posted this but I guess I didn't. I think Rod would be a better Mary Sunshime. It cracks me up just thinking about it. Afterr all, that role IS meant for drag.

Rod would make a good Mary Sunshine, but maybe Rod should just play all of the parts, and he could rename it 'I Am My Own Puppet'.

Susan would definitely be a great Velma.

Cheno would be such a cute Roxie. I heard that she dances rather well. Does she?

I love the idea of Egan as well.

Go for it, I say.

Why yes, yes she does. God love that woman and her lungs.....

(and her flying splits when she plays Velma!!!)

BTW, WickedDude, who have you seen in Chicago?? You seem to be throwing a lot of random names out there, and I've actually become quite curious.

I'd love to see Eric McCormack as Billy Flynn. Of couorse, everyone else in the cast would have to be equally short!

Roxie- Kristen Chenoweth (lol, why not...can't think now of anyone else), Laura Bell Bundy???

Velma- Susan Egan

Billy Flynn - Hugh Jackman (he's a hunk, he should have been in the movie, Richard Gere is dumb), Billy Zane (again!)

Mama - Queen Latifah was actually pretty good

Amos - Nathan Lane or Matt Broderick

Fred Casely- Ewan McGregor

Another list (joke list):

Roxie - Britney Spears

Velma - Christina Aguilera

Billy Flynn - Maury Povich

Mary Sunshine- Harvey Fierstein

Mama - Jessica Simpson

Amos - Mr. Rogers
