Hey, don' go dissin' my man Richard.....
Actually, I think Gere did a better job than Jackman would have, since Gere can lay on the smarmy better than Jackman. I was actually impressed with his dancing and singing, TTTT; he pulled it off quite nicely.
re: Chicago#52
Posted: 7/5/04 at 3:06pmIn terms of acting, he was okay, but I wasn't too impressed with his singing.
re: Chicago#53
Posted: 7/5/04 at 3:34pmTrue, I doubt he's headed for a Broadway career, but he still did a good job.

WickedDude, how bout not for Susan and Kristen... and you didn't answer my question either.
As for Michael as Billy, I've seen him and he's great. But you won't be seeing him as Billy again anytime soon as he's no longer with the company.
And yeah, I loves me some Richard Gere

re: Chicago#58

re: Chicago#59
Posted: 7/5/04 at 7:28pmNo but I have the movie on DVD. The reason I have not seen the show is because I'm on the west coast.

Posted: 7/5/04 at 7:31pmThe film is very different from the show. Film and stage are totally different media.

re: Chicago#63
Posted: 7/5/04 at 7:45pmI did not know that. But they do have the deleted musical number from the movie called "Class" with Cathrine Zeta-Jones and Queen Latifah. I can tell you this. Cathrine Zeta-Jones can cuss like a salior!
re: Chicago#64
Posted: 7/5/04 at 7:58pmAh, you've only seen the movie. That explains a lot.

This is true... and hey, if you'd seen her as Velma, you would have gotten to see her "flying splits."
And no, before some newbie sends me a PM and asks, I'm NOT Roxane Carrasco.

Posted: 7/5/04 at 8:37pmUGH! I SOO wish I didn't have to sit through Pia Dowes... I only liked her at the VERY end of Act One.... Charlotte D'Amboise REALLY had to pick up teh slack. Pia was nothing special.
