You know who I think would be a good Chicago cast are
Roxie Hart-Kerry Butler
Velma Kelly-Susan Egan
Billy Fylnn-Will Chase
Matron "Mama" Morton-Mary Stout
Amos Hart-John Cudia
re: Chicago#1
Posted: 7/3/04 at 12:56amHmmm.... I'm actually liking the Susan Egan idea. Never thought of that before.

How about...
Roxie Hart - Harvey Firestein
Velma Kelly - Joan Rivers
Billy Fylnn - Joey Fatone
Matron "Mama" Morton - Rod from Avenue Q
Amos Hart - Mary J. Blidge
that works, I think...
re: Chicago#3
Posted: 7/3/04 at 1:57pmHarvey Friestien as Roxie? How would he fit into the sliky costumes? And he needs to to have a high range.
re: Chicago#4
Posted: 7/3/04 at 2:46pmI LOOOOVEEE the Susan Egan idea. She's PERFECT for that role. She can definitely dance and act the part, and singing isn't an issue for her. I also agree with Kerry Butler. We haven't seen her dancing, though.

Posted: 7/3/04 at 4:41pmHugh Jackman was offered the role of Billy Flynn in the movie but he turned it down because he thought he was "too young." Hence, we got Richard Gere.
re: Chicago#9
Posted: 7/3/04 at 5:24pmI think Susan Egan would be perfect! She's got a great voice, and her Velma would be incredible!

Posted: 7/3/04 at 5:55pmwe've seen kerry dancing. this was when she was Penny in Hairspray. i know that it is kind of hard to judge though, because she was supposed to dance like a loser. those are great ideas though!

Posted: 7/3/04 at 5:57pmkerry has openly said that she isn't much of a dancer, and that dancing off-beat was easy, but having to dance well during the finale was hard.

Posted: 7/3/04 at 7:15pmHow about Kirsten Chenoweth as Roxie Hart, Susan Egan as Velma Kelly, John Selya as Billy Flynn, Beth Fowler as Matron "Mama" Morton and Patrick Wilson as Amos Hart?

Posted: 7/3/04 at 8:10pmHello Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I really don't like the silent treatment! Updated On: 7/3/04 at 08:10 PM
re: Chicago#18
Posted: 7/4/04 at 11:08pmHow about Kirsten Chenoweth as Roxie? Yes it's a big jump for her but I'm comfant that she can do Roxie.
re: Chicago#19
Posted: 7/4/04 at 11:12pmThat would be possibly more hideous than Melanie Griffith. Her name is Kristin, by the way. Not Kirstin.
re: Chicago#20
Posted: 7/4/04 at 11:12pmI think it'd be funny to see her shot someone. She's just so cute! But I could definately see her do Roxie's numbers
re: Chicago#21
Posted: 7/4/04 at 11:15pmTotally! How about Kristen Chenoweth as Roxie Hart alongside Susan Egan as Velma Kelly and Hugh Panero as Billy Fylnn! Updated On: 7/4/04 at 11:15 PM

How about this everybody:
Roxie Hart-Kristin Chenoweth
Velma Kelly-Susan Egan
Billy Flynn-Hugh Panaro
Matron "Mama" Morton-Mary Stout
Amos Hart-John Jellison
re: Chicago#24
Posted: 7/4/04 at 11:30pmHarvey would be better than Kristen...
