Sorry for bumping this almost year old thread, but I just saw the final performance of this production and I thought it was simply stunning. I thought Robert Bathurst was brilliant and so are the rest of the cast.
I just have a few minor questions. When King Charles III was in London did Prince Charles ever see the show? And for British people who saw the show, who did you side with, The king or the prime minister? I sort of felt the Kings reasons were justified, but I also think the way he went about it was all wrong. The end of act one was definitely a shocker.
