I have it on good authority that Goldstarevents.com will be having heavily discounted seats for Chicago starring wayne Brady at the Pantages Theater. Check out their website as of next Tuesday. According to our own CJR ( My most trusted Chicago expert) ; Wayne Brady is a wonderful Billy. Also; The Pantages Theater is gorgeous. Go if you can.

Yes he is! He'll be playing opposite Bianca Marroquin as Roxie (who is faaaaaabulous!) and Brenda Braxton as Velma (another fabulous talent!)... I think Carol Woods is still Mama -- if not, it's Roz Ryan. Both are equally amazing, but I prefer Roz over Carol

His Wayne just playing Billy for that stop of the tour?
Because I am sure playing Los Angels and playing the Pantages theater gives him a btter chance of getting some industry folf to see him.

As far as Im aware he's only playing the LA stop....
LA wanted a big name... They got him. Im so sorry you have to see Wopat (if you're seeing the show).... I found him to be a mediocre Billy.

CJR,
Gregory Harrison was a darling Billy. Any chance of him coming back?

Beav - I LOVE Marcia Lewis - what a great character actress she is!

Oooh Backstreet Billy, Kevin Richardson! Surprisingly enough I REALLY enjoyed his Billy. Saw him a few times and I'm also pleased to report that I found him to be a total sweetheart offstage.
Don't know that Gregory will be back. I liked him, but I'd honestly like to see some new blood in the cast -- both casts, actually -- Broadway and Tour. Middle of February the Tour and Broadway Velmas (Brenda and Terra MacLeod, respectively) will be switching places. Terra will go out on tour with Bianca and Brenda will return to Broadway.

What a better Broadway we have now that Brenda Braxton is back.
JR,
She is a excellent character actress. Chicago didn't even touch a tip of her talent. unfortunately; she is now happily married in florida and god knows when we will get to see her again.

I love Brenda, but I'd rather see some new blood.... or see one of the understudies get a run -- ie: Roxane Carrasco and Donna Marie Asbury (preferrably Roxane since Donna just went on for a week
)
And Brenda ain't back yet, Bronx, so hush

As long as were clear of that "Terra McCleshod" person everythign is better.

Bronx, you know full well what her name is. We know you didn't like her, but you can just hush about that already. Nobody's holding a gun to your head and forcing you to see her in the show.

Beaver;
You are right.
He is an AMAZING Billy. I'd go if I hadn't seen him in the role twice on Broadway.
I'm craving to see the current Broadway cast with Charlotte D'amboise and Brent Barrett. I can only hope I can get back to NYC before Jan 30. I want to see Wonderful Town one last time before it closes, and Chicago while Brent is still there.
I was thinking about getting tickets to see Chicago while it was at the Pantagas. anyone have any reviews of it so far? I'd like to hear how it is before I get tickets. Thanks!

Read back on the first page. I said that all leads are phenomenal. The show is in fantastic shape.

How come all the leads seem to come from the 'Chicago cast warehouse'? How about some fresh blood? I'm sure they are all extremely talented, but how long have Charlotte, Bianca, Brent, Terra, etc. been playing these roles now? They must be tired.

Wayne is new blood (for the most part).... and the cast for the tour signed contracts that have held them on the tour this long.
