There are so many odd edits in the NBC version. "Take a Hike" Kitty is the worst.

I would assume everyone on here has it on DVD in it's various incarnations. Heck, I even bought it on Blu-Ray a few months ago.

No need to watch an edited-for-television version, though it would be interesting to see how it was 'cleaned-up'. re: Chicago-the Movie Musical on NBC now 5/26 8-11

That's funny--calling someone an ass nowadays is common even on daytime soapoperas--yet they still edit it from movies??

I can't believe they didn't change the dead husband's name to Lipspit.

Was it just me or did they blur the "spread eagle" pose?

The remark Billy makes to Amos about Jesus Christ gets cut, too.

I hear they censored Renee's singing voice, is that true? They only allow it to be heard past midnight whenever it aired in the past.

Yeah -- I heard that, too. I heard that Sean Young actually dubbed the prime-time singing for Renee.

Brody, as long as they aren't showing that footage of Young vying desperately for the role of Catwoman (in costume!) in an appeal to Tim Burton, I'm cool with that! Besides, I've heard worse Roxies before (as I hide my program with a Melanie Griffith insert from 2003).

A commercial after every musical number sucks.

I could simply kill you guys!

I own the original single-disc DVD. The 2-disc Razzle Dazzle Edition plus the 'new' Blu-Ray DVD of the Razzle Dazzle Edition AND I'm here watching this damn film on NBC! At least the HD broadcast, but still.

This film is a masterpiece of a film-adaption. I'm still enraptured by everything as if it's all new. Incredible job, Rob Marshall. A film that never gets stale, even to those (like myself) who've watched it endlessly.

Wow!

So much truth in that, Kringas.

Plus...if I weren't watching I would have missed that trailer/promo spot for the 'new' BIONIC WOMAN! Wow!

I saw a commercial for the new Nancy Drew movie. It pains me to say it, but I kind of want to see it.

Kringas- we're in the same boat. This is the first time I've admitted to wanting to see it.

they DID blur the spread eagle.
oh god, and they didn;t show Madonna's crucifixion during her concert.
jesus. nbc.
yet they can show all the sex they want all day on the soaps.

Correction -- Madonna wasn't crucified in her Confessions Tour concert...she performs her song "Live to Tell" on a huge mirrored crucifix, which though not shown on the NBC broadcast of the concert, can be seen intact on the DVD version of this same broadcasted concert.

Also, though the 'spread-eagle' bit was blurred, it was still detailed enough to clearly show what was being done, so much so that some people didn't even notice.

Now back to some pie.
