Chicago & audition? Never thought I'd hear those words together.
Slow news day.....
I actually love her. I think it would be cool to see her as Velma. Alot different than what she's been doing ("Vampires Suck," "Easy A," "That's So Raven").
She would be quite good as Velma.
We know she can sing but is she a dancer?
I think she would make a killer Roxie. I don't really see her as a Velma though.

She recieved four callbacks for playing Glinda, but she didn't the part.

ETA: I'd still love to see her play Sister Mary Robert in "Sister Act."

I absolutely love her voice. She should be so much bigger than she is.
I still want Elizabeth Berkley to play Roxie.

Or Velma. With former co-star Gina Gershon as Roxie.
Yes, she is a fantastic dancer. She could dance circles around most. This woman is so fiercly talented, and so overlooked
It amazes me (yes I know others are as well...)

If she does get the job, I guess I'll be finally seeing the show...
I wonder why she didn't get Glinda....?
She isn't in "Easy A."
I can totally see her as an obvious choice for Roxie, and being totally fantastic in the role. She must of done something to make them call her back for Velma (which I think would be interesting and amazing). I would love to see her in something.
i'm so glad she's getting more chances to go on stage. she is fantastic
I can't find any decent recordings of it, but her rendition of "A Change in Me" from Beauty and The Beast was divine!

She has a great voice. If she gets Velma I think it would be great.
I saw that theatrefan4, I just wasn't too crazy about it, could be because of the lack of full orchestra.
Here's a short clip of her singing "cabaret"

Judging from the hair, I'd say she was about 15 at the time.
I'd love to see her play Velma.

I see her as a Roxie more than Velma, but I'd see her in the show either way! Hope it works out for her.

Can't recall the name of it, but back in 2007 I watched the most interesting interview with her, in it she spoke about how from a young age she was cast in extremely age mature roles. Not sure if she was referring to Cabaret or not...
