Which shows have child actors in them?
I ask this because I'm listening to Seussical. How old is Anthony Blair Hall (playing Jojo) on this recording?

What are the labour regulations for kids? It's mandatory to have 2 kids for one role and they divide the shows, I know. Is that it? What about on tour?

Annie get your gun had 4...
It's not mandatory to split roles..?? I know they must have a wrangler until they're 15 tho
JJ, I could be wrong. I don't think it's *mandatory* per se, but there's only a certain number of hours a minor can work, so it winds up being split.
In general, for very young children (under 10) it's customary (if not required) to double or triple cast them (such as in Les Miserables). For slightly older kids (10-13 or so) that play leading roles, they usually do 6 performances a week with an alternate doing the matinees (as with Daisy Eagan in The Secret Garden and Anthony Blair Hall in Seussical). For all kids over about 15 or 16, they usually do the full 8 shows a week.
I don't know if I can name a show that doesn't....Chicago maybe.

Sabrina Reitman is currently the ten-year-old playing Lil' Inez in HAIRSPRAY. She is the cutest, sweetest little thing I've ever met.
