Which shows have child actors in them?
I ask this because I'm listening to Seussical. How old is Anthony Blair Hall (playing Jojo) on this recording?

I can think of off the top of my head
Les Miserables (3 kids... one little boy and two little girls, but one doesn't sing)
The Boy From Oz (Peter Allen as a kid)
Miss Saigon (one little boy... but he doesn't sing and he is Kim and Chris's son)
Lion King (Simba and Nana? Both have solos... obviously Simba more)

Annie get your gun had 4...
It's not mandatory to split roles..?? I know they must have a wrangler until they're 15 tho

Posted: 1/6/05 at 10:10pmJJ, I could be wrong. I don't think it's *mandatory* per se, but there's only a certain number of hours a minor can work, so it winds up being split.

Posted: 1/6/05 at 10:23pmIn general, for very young children (under 10) it's customary (if not required) to double or triple cast them (such as in Les Miserables). For slightly older kids (10-13 or so) that play leading roles, they usually do 6 performances a week with an alternate doing the matinees (as with Daisy Eagan in The Secret Garden and Anthony Blair Hall in Seussical). For all kids over about 15 or 16, they usually do the full 8 shows a week.
