After two cocktails i had her confused with Dody Goodman. And if Dody Goodman took the microphone at Splash, i surely would've fallen off my chair.

Posted: 2/7/06 at 3:32pmYeah it's all in good fun. Such good fun they made the show look cheap and tacky. If I were Chita, heads would be rolling this morning.

Posted: 2/7/06 at 3:33pmPopcu;tureboy, you are in your right damn mind, and if they say you aren't screw them! It seems like queens on the rag month here or something! Then they want to talk about what YOU look like in your underwear, My God, WAY off topic people - don't even justify such with answers.

It seems sad and desperate, and unworthy of Ms Rivera's legend.

Now if they want to show their buff dancer's butts, that is fine.
But having Chita plastered on it - well that's a bit odd.

Posted: 2/7/06 at 3:47pmThank you singingbackup. We've all been banging on about what a classy legend Chita Rivera is. To try and sell the show, her dancers do something as tacky as moon a camera with the show's name stuck to their underwear. It's just horrible. If it were Suzanne Somers doing it, I'd think it was more fitting.

If you saw the show, she says she loves guys butts. I'm sure she was fine with it. She's not uptight at all and loves her dancers.

Posted: 2/7/06 at 4:05pmWell good for her then. But whichever way you slice it, it looks tacky.

It really is declasse and I don't think Chita goes around drooling over every man's ass - Geez, Now just because of a line in that show they all think Chita's some big ass queen or something?
I have to go throw up.
Thanks for you guys supporting me on this, You are all indeed in the right place and if it has come to THIS for "Publicity", It is time to close up the 40% and just go home.
Better to go out with class than this, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Posted: 2/7/06 at 4:28pmI think you've taken this to the total extreme. Again, it was all for fun and I have no doubt Chita was totally fine with it. Perhaps someone should ask her and report back. Geez.

Posted: 2/7/06 at 4:31pmI don't even desire a report back. This is tacky and I don't care about this mess anymore. It'll be closed in a week or two anyway.

Wasnt that the original movie that was inspiration for the "Bird of Paradise" section of "SpiderWoman"? You know, "Chita: Ass Queen of the Jungle"!

Posted: 2/8/06 at 12:09amNo - we are waiting for the free hotel suite at the Carlyle deal with a ticket purchase which will be next weeks gimmick. Maybe they will have a drawing for dinner as well with Chita dancing on the (kitchen) table somewhere between the soup & salad.
