I liked it for what it was: pure, endeniable fun. I always leave the theatre smiling after that show. The cast makes it worth it. As I and every other person has mentioned, Jan Maxwell is worth the price of admission. Talk about getting robbed of the Tony...
The rest of the cast I really enjoyed as well, though Esparza was hot and cold. I saw him turn in a wonderful performance one night, then completely phone it in the next.
The worst show you've seen on Broadway?? Did you miss In My Life? How about Dracula?

Posted: 12/18/05 at 5:11pmi really enjoyed itfor what it is, a childrens show. Jan and mark were the highlights. you know what i am going to admit it here that i loved it! i t made me feel like a kid again. It was amazing seeing the car fly and everything else. It reminded me of my first experience with a broadway show, the large spectacle.

Am I the only one who thinks this isn't just a children's show? There is so much more to it than a children's show. it really is on two levels!
I love this show for the talent that's in it, for the amazing sets and the phenomenal dancing (ok, tell me you don't love Me Ol' Bamboo!) Plus, how can you not leave with a smile on your face. The story is such a great one. Maybe I'm biased cause I grew up watching the movie, I don't know.
And I agree. The first time I saw that car fly it brought tears to my eyes!

Posted: 12/18/05 at 7:14pmI have indeed seen Dracula and In my life. And my statement holds. Those that were there with me that night agree as well.
