Posted: 2/28/05 at 5:27pmSaw Chitty in London and it was quite a spectacle. When I was in London last month, a friend told me that Chitty will soon become the longest running show at the Palladium. That is a huge theatre and it has been there 3 years. I also heard from a friend who is a theater ticket agent that Chitty has about a 12 million advance here in NY. Just my opinion, but I believe Chitty will be around longer than any other show opening this season-- no matter what reviews it receives or awards it does or does not win. Hope all the shows do well. Posted: 2/28/05 at 6:16pmIt was bad in London. At some points it's barely entertaining because some of it plays too much to the audience and the kids - boring. There are spectacle elements of it, but nothing great. I really really really hope they revamp it for Broadway, or I will be angry!
