I suppose you're right Emcee. I don't hate the show. I actually found it amusing and my nephew seemed to be highly entertained by it.

It could be way worse.
It's innocent fun, and stupidly charming.

BroadwayDoc - There is an Original Broadway Cast Recording of Joseph available, the cast being the 1982 cast - Joseph's first arrival on American shores. This version pre-dates the mega-revival of the show in London in 1991 (with Jason Donovan and Linzi Hateley) although the score is very similar. The 1982 cast features Laurie Beechman as Narrator.
The 1993 revival had the 'clothes hanger' logo (the logo that features on the cover of the Donny Osmond CD, albeit with white background), whereas all recordings before that had individual covers.
The 1982 OBC is the only stage cast recording of the show readily available, rather than a studio cast (the earliest version of Joseph still available is the 1973 London studio cast).
Oh, I could go on for days...
