re: Chitty disaster

Gosh, it's good to hear he was resuscitated.

I really hope everything went okay for him after that, and he's living right now.

re: Chitty disaster

He did, Conor. And when I heard him sing Hushabye Mountain, it was like he was trying to tap into the Phantom and emulate The Music of the Night, or something. Let's just say that THAT did not make for a happy me. He has a nice voice, but just... no. I'll say that I'm just too attached to Raul's version. I admit my issues. re: Chitty disaster

re: Chitty disaster

I had a similar experience when I saw Chicago last summer. Someone in the Right Orchestra passed out or had a heart attack or something. Paige Davis (who was Roxie at the time) first was like "Is everything all right out there?" She was the only one on stage doing her monologue when she tells the truth about what happened. Then she was just like, "Oh, ok we're going to stop the show now" And walked off stage. I don't know how long it was, but she finally walked back on stage. And she was like, "Now I'm gonna tell you the truth. I already told it to ya once, but I'm gonna tell it to you again." Or something. It was very scary.
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife

re: Chitty disaster

I'm not sure if this is true, but i was at the 8:00 show on the 10th (yesterday) and someone at the stagedoor said that the man had died the night before. I have no clue if its true but that is what i heard...

re: Chitty disaster

one of the 1000 times i saw piazza in chicago a man had a heart attack in the balcony. all through the second act we kept hearing all this noise and kept thinking what the HELL is going on? why wont people shut up! then suddenly during octet everyone just walked offstage and the house lights went up. we waited a good 30 minutes until he got out and everything was settled. all of the sudden the house lights when down and everyone took their places for the beginning of octet. it was all very strange the way no announcement was made or anything.

re: Chitty disaster

God, this is all so sad, I hope that guy's alright! Although there's so many different stories of what happened, I'm kind of confused! But anyway, sounds like a very scary experience.
