If you are speaking of Butch, Wrong Arms Roy, Tricia, Vicki, etc; - No, they do not come back for the finale. After they are cut they become the pit singers (booth singers).
If you are referring to the actual people on the line who are cut then yes, they do.

How does it work with the "pit singers"? Are there people who are hired to do nothing but sing the finale in the pit, or are they the characters who were "cut" by Zach at the beginning of the show?

The pit singers include the cut dancers from the opening sequence and usually a few others hired specifically just to pit sing. They sing in all the group numbers, particularly the "Hello 12" Sequence and the finale which are heavy dance numbers.

I'm glad to hear you will do the show. ACL is a special piece of theatre - even being a cut dancer, I am sure you will be happy that you decided to be a part of it.

Thank you, i too am getting excited. I was second in-line for MARK, and was not cast simply because i "looked too young." Although the director and choreographer said that I gave the best read, an dance callback.
That is why i was a little frustrated at first. But now i'm ok with it.

In my production, the cut crew of dancers and titled cuts came back for the grand finale.
...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...

If I remember correctly the entire opening sequence is about 8-10 minutes. Congrats again. You should be very proud of yourself. Who is your director/choreographer?

The original sequence is almost ten minutes long. You can watch a slightly truncated version of it performed on the Tony Awards on the YT site we can't mention here.
Fantastic about using the original choreography. Learn it, do it well, and I promise you the time will come sometime in a few years when it will help you get onto the "line" in another production.

but wrong arms roy has a cute/funny feature....Zach stops the combination and clearly points out how the arms SHOULD be and he does the EXACT same thing he did before...(hence getting cut)....it usually gets a laugh...have fun!

I've seen that video on YT. Love watching it everytime. Plus the acceptance speeches of the actors who won a Tony Award.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
