Hi everyone. I am tqking my best friend to see sweet charity later this month. does anyone know if christina applegate is taking a vacation anytime soon - we want to make sure were going when shes there
As far as I know, Christina has only missed one performance the whole run (not counting the week in previews where Charlotte D'Amboise played Charity), so her attendance is really stellar. She absolutely shines in this role.
Speaking of vacations, Playbill Online (though not always reliable) is listing Anika Ellis as the new Helene in the cast roster. Is Kyra out on vacation, or has she left the production?
Christina will be there until Dec or early Jan, I think, check the web site: sweetcharitythemusical.com. It's got wallpaper, icons, lots of cool stuff, and a vidio-if you don't get the NY tv stations, it's the same as the commercial we have seen upmteen times. All in all, it's a terrific, fun show, and shouldn't be missed.
BTW: After reading Riedell's column in today's NY Post about absenteeism (specifically-Spamalot, but also another crack at Donna Murphy), I think Christina should have been given kudos, especially after his earlier comments.
