Christmas Gifts!!

Hey~
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I got come awesome gifts...new cd's, DVD's, tickets to shows, and lots of other neat things...I think my favorite gift is the Wicked CD...I've listened to it 3 times already!!...anyone else want to share what they got?? ::)

I too got the Wicked CD. I haven't had much of a chance to listen to it, but I did managage to sneak away from the Holiday Festivities to listen to Idina's big numbers and "Popular."

I as well got the Wicked CD- For some reason I am addicted to Dancing Through Life just because I love Nessa's solo!
I also got Kissing Jessica Stein on DVD- Great movie! One of my favorites! Idina Menzel has a brief stint in it and her one line is so excellent!
I also got Hairspray because I'm doing it for show choir this year and think I should be familiar with the music and La Boheme on CDs. La Boheme is amazing- just so beautiful, nice dinner music too!
I got lots of my purses since I am a purse freak! And I got tickets for Millie in January! Pretty good Christmas!

i got some pretty cool broadway cd's too: wicked (yay!), the maury yeston songbook, william finn's elegies, alice and emily's unsuspecting hearts, sunday in the park with george, and avenue q. yay!

Let's see I got 2 tickets for me and a friend to both Mamma Mia and Cats on tour...Tickets for a 4 night cruise in the Carribean...Josh Groban's new cd "Closer"...Original German Cast Recording of Elisabeth Das Musical...Wicked Cast Recording...and a 2004 calendar with pictures of NYC...I got other things, but they are mostly money..DVD's..and clothes!

I was actually hoping for tickets to Wicked and a trumpet for Christmas. But alas, no tickets or trumpet. Oh well.

My boyfriends (2) both got me the same present.
Talk about weird. I can not tell you what it is.
LOL.
What I wanted were tickets to GYPSY and Forbidden Broadway.
Where is Santa when you need him. Oh and tickets to see Avenue Q again.
No such luck. My men will not fuel my theater addiction.
Sad to be all alone in the world.
I also wanted Santa to bring me:
The Hairspray Cd- I wore it out ha ha
( do any of you sing in your apt? My next door neighbors heard me singing last night and clapped talk about embarrassing)

I got the soundtracks to "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aida" just because those are the only two soundtracks to shows that I've seen that I didn't have.

I got Wicked CD yay!!! and maybe rush tickets next week if I am so lucky to get choosen. Working CD because I fell in love with musical when my school did it. Taboo London CD because Broadwayworld radio made me obsessed with it. And I also got for my big present a trip to NYC to see Adam Pascal Jan 1st...wooohoooo. Good christmas.

I got tickets to see Wicked, the prgram from Wicked (my sister's poor lol) the Rent cast recording (i had it but it was a burned copy and it sucked), the wild party (off broadway), idina's solo cd (i love that) and carols for a cure 2003

that covers all the broadway stuff

I've received many lovely gifts, however, the most theatrical one I got was from my friends in the choir. After singing at the vigil mass last night, they got together and sang a few bars of "Hello, Dolly!" (the perfect Christmas tune!) and presented me with "a box of chocolate covered peanuts...unshelled...those are the expensive kind". Nothing could have please me more!

Now Corine, why are you grousing about the gifts your TWO boyfriends gave you? You should be thankful that you even got Christmas presents...you're Jewish!

I got an ornament that had all the Broadway show logos, Wicked tickets, RENT tickets, a Playbill binder, a replica of Mark's scarf (from RENT), and the "all that jazz" dvd.

I ALSO got the "Wicked" cd.... OMG... it's awesome! Both girls are fabulous! Most of the songs are all very good!!!! :)

I wish people would give me theater related gifts.
One of the men I am dating said " Oh no you see way to much theater." Can you believe that!
The other went with his family to see Gypsy last night. He loved it and I almost died.
He loves theater but had no idea I wanted to see it.
He also said it was empty. I wish the Producers would have a lottery to fill all the empty seats. It is a very big theater.

Corine, if you want to make peace with me, learn to write effectively! The reason I get annoyed with you is that you make the most banal statements and/or lack clarity in what you're saying.

For example, one of your so-called boyfriends went to see GYPSY and claimed "it was empty". Now what did that mean? Was the musical itself "empty" (Meaning devoid of emotional involvement) or was the theater empty (Meaning there was a plethora of empty seats). Such statements makes it seem that you have the IQ of a pitted avocado.

You would never pass English if you were in my class.
