Do you guys think they'll do some type of rush or lottery?
I know they haven't been on TDF and first preview is next week

Posted: 1/17/13 at 2:19pmThat's exactly why i bought a rear mezz full price ticket. My gut is telling me this is having fantastic pre-sales. Can't wait until we see the first full week numbers.

They are still on TDF for $45.....not a deal, especially since discounted tickets are being offered.

abbagirl,
It's not the owners of the theatre who decide if there is a rush/what format it wil be. It's the producers of the show. While it is true that recent shows at The Broadway have opted for a general rush format, it's just happenstance. The most recent show to do a lotto that was at the Broadway was Shrek. But, they did their lotto at the M&M's store.

Posted: 1/17/13 at 2:45pmI know it's not the theatres who decide, I work in ticketing. That being said, I will be very surprised if it's a lotto.

Posted: 1/17/13 at 2:51pmI hate when they have tickets on TDF but then you try to just buy one and it says "there are not enough tickets for your order." If there isn't even 1 ticket available, then why keep it up? I tried all 3 days.

Posted: 1/17/13 at 5:38pmI think it is selling extremely well. It has had barely any tickets left for most of the shows I have checked. Most of the Rear Mezz at least is booked. Looked at most Fridays and Sats in Feb.

Posted: 1/23/13 at 9:08pmCan anyone remember if Sister Act or Shrek offered Rush for first preview? I know Promises Promises did not have them for first preview because I was one of the sad schmucks who waited out in the cold for an absurd amount of time, but it was just for 1st preview. Doesn't the Broadway pretty much always have a rush?

They in-formally announced today via Facebook that they will offer a rush. No price was named yet. I dont know if they mean to say it will be weekdays only or all 6 days.
