lol, this made me laught guys
i heard a while ago that clay actually was offered the park of mark in rent but he was busy w/ other things and said he'd consider doing it later on. - no joking
Hearsay below:
He wants to do theatre but 19 Entertainment (Simon Cowell's company) advise him not to until his pop career dries up. He started out doing theatre - not to say that he would be a brilliant actor or anything, but the boy does have experience. My cousin Jonathan did Shenandoah with him 4/5 years ago in NC. Now he uses pomade and sing about girls...oy :)
So I guess Tamyra Gray's career began "drying up" when she was offered the part in Bombay Dreams.
What career? hehe The constant "American Idol" appearances?

Well, she did come out with a CD, that's about it...

While we are on the topic of Clay and Broadway, did anyone catch the Jay Leno Jepardy skit last night? A spot on 'Clay Aiken' rushed through the Broadway category, answering questions before Jay finished (until he had to answer the one about "The Vagina Monologues").
It was pretty vicious, but I admit I couldn't stop laughing.
Isn't Clay a little too young for those roles mentioned. Personally, i don't think he has good enough stge presence to captivate a Broadway audience.

jwei...you have to be at least some what good looking to play jimmy...
He couldn't do GV or All Shook up as those parts require you to be sexy and have audience appeal to more than just 70 yr. olds.
I think Clay Atkins would be perfect for BKLYN.
He could be that guy in the show..you know..that guy ..who sings real loud...you know the one...the only one who sings like that.
Clay is life.
Clay needs to be in my new musical. "Run Clay Aiken Over With a Steamroller!"
It's the hit sequel to "Open your F*cking Eyes When You Sing Josh Groban!"

How could you even suggest those roles, Tuttle? He's ridiculously young and doesn't have the voice to fit any of them.
Honestly, I think he'd be best suited for a role in one of the "Pop Musicals That Are Taking Over Broadway And Usually Are Trash". Not because he doesn't have talent but because that is the type of music he does best.
However, a new Marvin Hamlisch might be the perfect vehicle for him, too. But do you really want Clay on Broadway? The theater will be filled with oaktag "MARRY ME!" signs, little girls or teenage girls that ACT like little girls and you won't hear a word he sings.
The idea is absurd. He's got talent, but I think I'll just keep him in concert halls.
PSSST! Hey trash he was being sarcastic.......just in case you didn't catch it.

I feel dumb.
Thanks for telling me.
If you look up gullible in the dictionary, you'd see my picture. Thanks, hon.
If Clay Aiken was ever the Phantom...
Ohh lord.
You know the hero roles are already reserved for you Bway. You will play The Ghost of Broadway Integrity. You get to drive the steamroller and tape back Groban's eyelids. And then prove what true talent is.

hmm...yeah I def. find him slightly...annoying. Whenever I watched American Idol with him on, (like twice) I always thought he didn't have much of a popstar persona. To me when he's onstage it looks like he could just fold up and disappear. Maybe it's just cuz he's pretty skinny. But maybe if he learned to have more of a prescence he'd be alright.
Hey guys..come on. I am serious! Clay is AWsUome!
Why wouldn't he make a good Jean ValJeany?

Those who say he has no stage presence have never seen him live. He is awesome live.
The perfect role for Clay is Chris in Miss Saigon. The character is from the south and sings belty, musical pop type songs.
I say guys and dolls revival and Clay as either Sky or Nathan! And yes I'm being serious I am a total Claymate
This just in...
CLAY REPLACES IDINA !!
Because nothing can hurt Clay. Clay is life.
Mr. Tuttle... I really do hope you are sincerely joking. Clay Aiken is seriously not that good. I will give it to him that he can sing POP pretty well, but that is not to say that he can sing anything else. Valjean is a hard role, as is all the rest of them. And, he definitely does not surpass Sutton Foster, and neither does he past any of the broadway stars.
