In response to the other similar thread, I thought we should all decide what this multi-talented god of music should do? His talent surpases all others (including Sutton) and he needs to be on Broadway now!! But I think producers are too scared to put such a talent on stage. So, her are my sugestions:
The Phantom in "The Phantim of The Opera"
Jean in "Les Miz"
Cpt. Von Trapp in "Sound of Music"
Clay is perfect for everything! Clay is life!

Posted: 1/6/05 at 2:47pmI could never picture him as The Phantom. He has a great voice, but what abou acting? I am just picturing a Phantom with a souhtern accent *shivers*

I was responding to: "and he needs to be on Broadway now!!"
I also could take him seriously in the role, he needs to be as good as an actor as he is singer to pull it off.

Posted: 1/6/05 at 3:20pmWhat are his multi-talents? I appreciate that he has a voice, but he's far too stylized for me. If he could be taught to just sing, I would like him. His Christmas special was beyond mediocre. Some of the worst singing of Christmas music I've ever heard (if you don't count Jessica Simpson, that is) But seriously, what other talents does he possess?

He has a good voice, but he tries to hard to be something he's not. He should stick to pop and stop trying to make it r&b/soul kind of stuff. He's always doing those vocal runs, which is just annoying coming from him for some reason. I actually think Jessica Simpson has a good voice. Not sure either of them should be on Broadway, I mean, can they act?

His name is Clay AIKEN.
And as much as I love his voice I really couldn't see him in the Phantom. I'd like to see him in Rent as Roger or Mark, though.

Jean Valjean?
The Phantom?
He has a great voice, and maybe there are a few roles out there for him, but I don't see him in those parts.

Posted: 1/6/05 at 7:19pmI think he'd be able to pass off for Fiyero, provided he could act.

This is too easy, Mr. Tuttle.
Give him a few years and a few pounds and he'll be a perfect "Peter Allen" in "The Boy From Oz'" revival.

"I think he would have made a GREAT Jimmy!"
I thought that a while ago, actually. I could see him singing "I Turned the Corner," but I am not sure now.
