NHTheatre.org is proud to announce our second celebrity chat.
After our successful inaugural online chat with Alexandra Socha of Spring Awakening, we will be hosting the second in our ongoing series.
We will be hosting an online chat with New Hampshire's own Jennifer Simard on Friday evening, April 25th at 8:00 PM EST.
Jennifer has originated many roles in New York shows including The Thing About Men, Forbidden Broadway S.V.U., I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and as Clara Kinsey in Dr. Sex. She can be heard on the original cast recordings to your left among others and is very grateful to have earned 3 Drama Desk nominations, 1 Lucille Lortel nomination and 1 Drama League nomination as outstanding featured actress. She enjoyed playing the role of Dory in the N.Y./L.A. workshops of Finding Nemo. She was happy to join the original Broadway cast of Spelling Bee before launching the 1st national tour and officially took over the role of Rona Lisa Peretti on Broadway April 17, 2007.
The latest announcement on Jennifer's website indicates that she will be joining the Broadway Cast of "Shrek the Musical" on November 8th!

Wow! This cast is REDICULOUS! I'm so excited for the show.
I sure hope the material is as good as the talent.
If they combine the 3, then they should get Raul Esparza to play Puss ´N Boots.

This cast is way too sexy for a show aimed at kids.
with Tesori and Moore involved, I doubt it will be the next BEAUTY & THE BEAST or LITTLE MERMAID.
I know that's what many will think but just read up on the workshops and readings -- for a "children's" musical, it's pretty deep and dark. at least it was... maybe they've changed its direction.
YEAH LISA HO!!!!!
Have they announced what theatre Shrek will be playing at???
I thought it was playng broadway?

Is Haven Burton gonna play the Gingerbread cookie? Ryan Duncan is one of the three little pigs and Donkey u/s. I think Ryan could play a great Puss in Boots as well (that is if the character is incorporated into the show) He's got that whole latin lover thing down from playing Juan in Altar Boyz.
