Wow. Somehow, I thought he was dead. Guy's always looked ancient to me. But he has one of the most unique voices out there (Sean Connery choking on a jellyfish, in a GOOD way!), and I think it's cool that he's dueting with his son. I loved him as Jean Valjean and as Che on Evita's concept album.

He's only 62!
...younger than Michael Crawford!

Is he really? Hmmm, he just looks old to me. I saw a picture of him about a year ago and it looked like he was about to fall over dead.
Then again, I always thought George Clooney was like sixty-something, and that Alex Gemignani was in his late forties...
Well, ancient or not, he's coming to New York!
EDIT: Wait a sec, how can someone born in 1944 be 62?

Wow, I'm just a bundle of errors today... title of the thread has been changed... I'm surprised Wilkinson himself hasn't come over here and kicked me in the mouth.
You know who else always looked old? Lionel Jeffries-- the eccentric grandfather from the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I seem to remember he was only a year older than Dick Van Dyke, who played his son. Mr. Jeffries' sister goes to my church, and she looks a lot like him, only without the mustache.

Wilkinson was a real disappointment when he did PHANTOM in Toronto. I love the show and saw him in it 5 times (I was in love with the Christine, Rebecca Caine). He was OK when the show opened, but as the run progressed he got worse and worse. At one point he got really violent and physically injured Christine. Toward the end of the run, audiences were pulling for Raoul and not the Phantom. He had lost any sympathy that could have been there.
On recordings he is excellent, but don't see him in a long run on stage.

Hmmm, Mr. Wilkinson actually looks LESS ancient than he did in the last bunch of pictures I saw of him. Very interesting song selection, and...awww, I love the Les Miserables jacket that doesn't button...
