I just heard that everyone in LA uses a color headshot now. Am I so outta touch that I didn't know I needed color headshots? Is this de rigeur in NYC now? I honestly don't think I've seen anyone using color at any casting calls this past winter.
Sshould we leave color to the west coast?

Ditto. Stick to B&W for theater. Lots of theories on why. One, being, that they possess a certain clarity and are generic enough to consider you for the role that are looking for.
I know it makes little logical sense, but casting directors like B&W. I'd be interested in getting more 'qualified' reasons, myself.
