Posted: 5/21/06 at 5:31pmI saw Ann Curry on Weekend Today this morning giving a preview of her Dateline special, which airs tonight at 7PM (ET) on NBC. It is all about The Color Purple on Broadway and its far-reaching and cultural status among theater audiences.

I can't wait!! I have to read a book for a summer class tonight too so I'm think I'll have to find a synopsis of it so I can make sure I don't miss TCP coverage.

I'm not a huge fan of the show, but it's nice to see ANYTHING from Broadway getting national network exposure like this.
