Anyone know yet if they'll be doing one or the other? I'll be in NY at the end of their first week of previews and am DYING to see it, and was just wondering if anyone might have heard yet.
I searched and checked the website, but didn;t see any announcement about it yet.
Does anyone know if Come Fly Away has rush or lottery?
According to the box office there is "No rush, no student rush, no lottery and no standing room".
As of today, there is still no rush/lotto policy.
There's always second acting. Easiest theater to do it in and there's no story so you don't feel like you're missing anything.
Odd that they wouldn't have at least one of rush, student rush or a lottery in place -- especially if, as someone posted, they have a fair number of empty seats. I wouldn't necessarily expect them to have more than one in place (few shows have general rush anymore, and most shows choose between either a lottery or student rush but not both) but at least one would seem wise.
Legit question re: standing room to which I just realized I don't know the answer -- does the Marquis even HAVE standing room locs? I know they have that area at the back for wheelchair seating and those movable chairs but do they even sell that as standing room? Then again, what was the last show at the Marquis that would have been sufficiently sold out to warrant selling standing room?
The theatre does have standing room, albeit, it's the worst standing room in any Broadway theatre. It's at the back of the mezz and you do need to be 5'10 or above in order to see anything it's so high. And even at 5'10, you find yourself on your toes most of the show.
I'm 5'8" and I didn't have a problem seeing anything while standing in the back for 9 to 5.
I went to the box office late last week, and they said there is no standing room, but they might be doing a lotto or rush. "Check back next week."
One more bump...everyone paying full price for this? :-/
