i'm very much looking forward to this - it eases the pain caused by it being in theatres for less than a month!
Does anyone know if the deleted scenes and songs will be integrated into the film on the DVD?
Broadway86, if you look carefully, it does say "Deleted scenes and musical numbers". That probably means we will get both the deleted songs and the live appearances by the cast on different occasions !
And from what I know, I don't think the deleted scenes will be integrated into the film !
I really wish that had done like several past DVDs and given you the option to watch with or without the deleted scenes.
Ah! What a great list! I was also worried that they'd have no extras at all and then release a special edition later..saves me money and his way better than I expected!

Whoa, cool. I can't wait to see all those special features.
Wow...all I expected were the deleted scenes and some commentary. I'm very pleased.
I'll probably get the DVD right after school, watch everything on it, then do my homework at 10 o'clock at night.
That list actually had me hyperventillating.
Guitar geek ... no, silly, you're supposed to just SKIP school so you can watch it as soon as the doors open at your local store. :)

Sounds amazing- much better than I was expecting! Thank god it comes out during my winter break- because I would be sorely tempted to skip school, which is not a smart thing to do while the teachers are getting ready to do our grades.
The only thing that I think the dvd is missing is integrating 'Halloween' and 'Goodbye Love' into the movie, which they might be doing, but I doubt it.

Actually, I'd rather go to school that day because my Humanities class (including my teachers) is just one giant glob of Rentheads, so we can squeal and talk about it for 2 class periods. The anticipation will be fun.

Awww, a class full of Rentheads. I'm so jealous. The closest thing I'll get to a Renthead in any of my classes is a girl who, when she saw my Rent shirt, said, "Hmmm. That was good. Well, I've never seen the movie, or the play, but it looks good," and walked away. *sigh*
The second day of school, we did an activity where we listened to "Christmas Bells" and tried to identify the culture by listening to the interaction between characters, references to 90's culture, etc. It was a lot of fun, especially for us Rentheads. We just sat there singing the entire time. Fun.
Fantastic! But still wish Disc 1 was a Director's Cut, Unrated, with all the deleted scenes in the film in context. Now that would be worthy of Criterion Collection, who knows maybe in the future. Very happy nonetheless
I'll be at anthony's book signing so I probably wont be able to watch the DVD until the next day.. but I cant wait to see who does the commentary with Chris.
