I'm curious if the new name of the Foxwoods Theater is hurting the business it may receive due to the ambiguity of its name. A recent conversation:
Friend: Why are they talking about Spiderman so much when it's not even playing in New York?
Me: What do you mean? It's in New York.
Friend: No, it's not! I heard an ad that said it was at the Foxwoods Theater in Connecticut.
Me: No, the Foxwoods Theater is in NYC.
Friend: It's not AT Foxwoods?
Me: No, they sponsored what was the Ford, then Hilton on 42nd Street.
Friend: Wow, that's confusing.
I wonder how many people like my friend who don't follow Broadway too much might miss a show at the theater because they assume from the ads that it is playing at the Foxwoods resort. I've noticed some ads say "The Foxwoods Theater on Broadway," but unless you're listening carefully you might miss it.
All in all, seems dangerous to accept an advertising deal from anything associated with a specific location outside NYC.
I'm guessing this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it.

If a person is too stupid to go see a BROADWAY show in Connecticut, then they deserve to lose out on that money.
I mean, honestly. It takes 30 seconds to google.

I have to say I had the same reaction as Pippin.
If you want to see the show I'm pretty sure you'll figure it out when you go to purchase tix.

The amount of people who fall in this group is probably small and won't affect sales of the show.
