Congrats to the cast of Dracula in Switzerland. The show opened to complete raves and is now mostly sold out!

My opinion of the German Press is now at an apex. Smart chaps, at least as far as theater is concerned

Frank Wildhorn's Dracula is one of my pet obsessions. I'm glad to see it seems to be doing better in Switxerland than it did in the states. :)

I hope, I hope, I *hope* that a recording is made of the Swiss show!

No, Germany is not in Switzerland, but St. Gallen is. Read the article, folks...

"The production in St. Gallen, Switzerland includes half a dozen songs...."

No pictures yet, but there are now planning for further european productions. Hopefully it will find its way to london and see how it does there.

Yes there are pictures if you go to fanphotos. I have thumbnails from a bunch of the pics. The site was in german otherwise I would direct you to where I found them.

hopefully there will be a recording...it's not clear yet :o/
and there have been a lot of changes in the show - they didn't only copy your American version so please don't judge the "german taste" :-p
Dracula is certainly not the best musical ever written but I had a wonderful night there...it was really great! The cast is simply a dream ... <3
[only the costumes are quite ugly :o( ]

mmmm... Jesper Tydén is a hottie. that makes three for three now for each production having hot Harkers... hmmm... hot Harkers... what the hell...

also the Swiss songlist really isn't THAT different from what played on Broadway. "Nosferatu" and "The Invitation" are reinstated though which helps a lot I'm sure as they are both awesome songs but the first real "change" so to speak doesn't come until the tenth song when Dracula sings a new tune: "Loving You Keeps Me Alive" which takes place after "A Perfect Life". "The Heart Is Slow To Learn" has been replaced with "Please, Don't Make Me Love You" and "If I could Fly" has been translated as "If I Had Wings". Those are really the only differences. I'd say they still need to replace "Forever Young" with the original "First Taste" and "Whitby Bay" needs to be some kind of hybrid "Whitby Bay/One More Lonely Night" as the lyrics for "One More Lonely Night" were a bit more tolerable than "Whitby Bay"... but who knows what the book and lyrics are actually like now that they've been translated ... it's hard to judge based on their English counterparts what liberties were taken by the translator...

Hey those Germans sure have great taste: first Dance of the Vampires and now Dracula. Oh and the longest running production of Starlight Express.
