I saw Gypsy right before the Tonys yesterday and I couldn't believe that she was the same actress I saw in Wedding Singer. I loved her speech. She seemed so shocked. Yay. I was so happy for her.

Laura Benanti has grown so much as an actress. Her performance as Louise has redefined the role for future generations. Such a wonderful change from her wooden performance in Nine.

Congratulations to Laura - hers was the category I was most rooting for last night. So happy for her, she deserved this one! She also looked beautiful and her speech seemed very genuine.

This was one of those awards that truly HAD to happen.

She was quite exceptional in GYPSY - I am so glad that she won!!

I was SO happy for her!!! She is brilliant; her voice, her acting, everything. She totally deserved this. She looked stunning, as per usual.
