Conleth Hill- Tony Chances??

Went back to "Seafarer" tonight. (btw, they changed the Playbill---LOVE the new cover !!! Has the five men with Lockhart in the middle with this devious grin on his face)

Anyway, I know I might be in the minority here, but really think Hill is the best of a truly amazing ensemble.

Possibly, the best performance I have seen this year, right up there with the ladies of "August"

Oddly enough, my friend thought Hill was the best part of the show...but I thought he was rather annoying and over acting. He was the only part of the ensemble who I felt was not excellent, but obviously you and my friend are on the same page.
And hang on, when did you win the discus?

re: Conleth Hill- Tony Chances??

He came in second place for me, behind Jim Norton.

Since all five men are going to be up for the Featured category, and this is a play heavy season, chances are the only nomination will go to Norton.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Dont get me wrong--- I think Norton is amazing, but after seeing it again tonight, I actually think Hill is better.

Think it makes for interesting debate. I know Norton is seen as a Tony lock (and I wouldnt mind that at all! )

btw, the pic from the website is the one now used on the Playbill cover

I loved Conleth Hill, but I'd give the award to Jim Norton just based on what he does with his eyes during the performance.

re: Conleth Hill- Tony Chances??

I think Norton is the shoo-in. He won the Olivier for his performance during the London run and was definitely the best reviewed cast member.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

The music in that commercial on the website is so creepy. Had to point it out.

Speaking of the music.... LOVE the music that they play in the theatre prior to the show starting... and that final song !!

I think someone had posted the artist? Anyone?

Will search as well...
