He is usually very nice when you meet him but I agree in interviews something does sometimes seem to be a little off.. I took it more as like arrogance though
Constantine has an amazing, snarky sense of humor. I guess people either get it or they don't. :)
I've never sensed anything arrogant about him. He is confident in his abilities and he certainly has the talent to back that up. He seems to be totally committed to his art, he works hard, and has always seemed so blessed for his opportunities - not like he expects anything to be handed to him.
My personal experiences with him is that he is a kind, polite, and truly appreciative gentleman. He has never been even remotely rude or dismissive to this old gal.
However, unlike some instances I've witnessed, I've treated him with respect and he has returned respect in kind. He does not seem to be at all impressed with rude, outrageous, pushy or unladylike behavior, however.
Good for him. I believe he really is a Nice Greek Boy! But he's also not a pushover. I like the man as much as I do the performer. I'm his fan for life.
I agree, gtwoot. When I saw him outside the ROA stagedoor I noticed that he was very nice towards me and anyone else who asked him for a autograph or a picture, but he seemed put off by the ladies who would shove a camera or a playbill in his face (I would be too!). He seems like a sweet guy

In case anyone was planning to get tix to A Night At The Rock Show, good luck! I think the remaining three shows are sold out!
RE: doesn't get along with cast members.. I'm sure I can provide 10 positive comments from cast members for every one negative you can find.. Heh- Love Will Swenson's interview- in his C- shirt :)
Who's coming to ROCK at Rock of Ages on Halloween??
Constantine gave a fantastic performance to a packed house at Joe's Pub last night. The setlist included - Rocking in the Free World, Hollywood Nights, American Girl, Ain't No Sunshine I'm Not in Love, She's Gone, 25 or 6 to 4, Falling Slowly, Iris, Summer of 69, Streets Have No Name and Bohemian Rhapsody.....and a few others.
i had the pleasure of going to the ANATRS in September as well as last night. (love last minute tickets and no traffic at the Lincoln Tunnel)
Last night's show was amazing. You could tell Con was much more comfortable because his energy was so much higher. In September he didn't leave the stage at all, and last night felt like you couldn't keep him on the stage.
I LOVED the "Waiting For A Girl Like You" name mix. Basically Con sang the first verse of WFAGLY and then almost every song with a girl's name in it, followed by the full version of "Oh, Sherrie" complete with the belt at the end. Kickass!

My friend Linda saw Rock of Ages around May 1st (ish, idr) this year, and she said that Constantine was rude to her at the stagedoor. I completely understand that it's not his job to be nice to people at the stagedoor, though.
She said that he was standoffish and he acted like he didn't want to be there. Her friend took a blurry picture the first time so when she asked him to take a second, he rolled his eyes and took the picture.
I enjoy Constantine, though! I saw his performance on the Tony's and was like, "HOLY SH*T! OMG! WIN! WIN!" I wanted him to win that Tony hella bad!
Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast, RENT, Mamma Mia!, Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, Evita (with Julia Murney), Hairspray (with Paul Vogt), Peter and the Starcatchers (with Christian Borle), Lion King, Altar Boyz, Legally Blonde (with Lauren Zackrin).
>>>I completely understand that it's not his job to be nice to people at the stagedoor,
I've been to the show more then a few times, I've never seen Constantine be rude to anyone. I have seen people demand stuff from him, grab him, yell orders at him, push, be rude and inconsiderate of others there, pose him for pictures like he was a mannequin, and treat him like he owed them a special experience at the stage door..............after he just gave a wonderful performance in the show.
I don't know your friend and even Constantine can have a bad day now and then- but it's not the norm.
