Kwame Kwei-Armah's final production as Young Vic Artistic Director will be the world premiere of A Face in the Crowd, a new musical based on the classic ‘50s Hollywood film, with music and lyrics by Elvis Costello and book by Sarah Ruhl.

The moment I saw Kwame Kwei-Armah was leaving this fall, I started wondering...could he be headed for New York, to take over the AD role at either LCT, Roundabout, or 2nd Stage? (2nd Stage being the least likely because he is British and their goal is producing living American playwrights.)

He'd be a natural fit, if he wants to continue running a nonprofit arts institution.
