Costume Shop question

I was wondering if any of you could direct me to a website with a list and definitions of the different jobs and positions in the costume shop. Thanks.

re: Costume Shop question

Or if anyone can list me the positions in a costume shop, that'd be an enormous help, thanks!

What kind of costume shop do you want to know about? College? Professional?

re: Costume Shop question

Most professional costume shops have a Shop Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor, Drapers, First Hands, and Stitchers. Larger shops will have a receptionist to answer the phone and deal with scheduling, meetings with designers, fittings, measurements, payroll, etc. Some also have their own shoppers, milliners, dyers and painters, crafts people, or people who specifically do detail work like beading and embriodery, but that is mostly done over seas. This is off the top of my head. Do you have a more specific question?

Add cutters and tailors to that list.
