I find I want to be dismissive to this question as well, but you deserve more of a thoughtful answer. And after thinking about it, sure. Why not? But the plot would have to be changed. She carries a secret through most of the first act and the act of musicalizing a piece is to let us inside a character's head. It would be hard and disingenuous to have her sing her feelings without giving that up. But with the right, talented writers, perhaps. Never say never.

I don't know though. I can strangely see it working. They'd have to get the right composer.

I like that we always say "with the right writers" or "with a good composer" as if someone would purposely pick the wrong one.
