From a friend who works on another series at ABC, there is talk the series could return but with the character of Roseanne having died during her knee surgery which is how Season 1 ended. Similar to how Valerie Harper’s NBC series VALERIE killed her off and returned as THE HOGAN FAMILY and ran for several seasons.
