Can you tell us what specific dishes you are looking for?

Or what needs to be avoided.

Most likely a restaurant with low FODMAP options.

I found this article. Not sure if it is accurate. At first I was thinking “ no problem - avoid broccoli, cauliflower, corn and cabbage”, but then it mentioned butter, milk, bread, chocolate, etc... I would think it would be especially difficult to avoid butter and dairy products in the preparation of many foods. Even vegan places might not be safe since apparently many fruits and veggies aggravate IBS. I am not sure what to recommend to the OP. Good luck!

Found this old thread on another board by googling “nyc restaurants IBS.” Perhaps there are others out there:

Also when I searched for “nyc restaurants FODMAP” I found a list of NYC restaurants with low FODMAP on Yelp. In fact, there appeared to be more than one list. Good luck!

It's always nice to find BWW regulars doing what they can to help others. Miles really went out of his way to provide the information asked for.

Wouldn't it be nice if the OP thanked him for his efforts?

Don't go to Benihana. I went there in March and crapped my pants by Rockefeller Center. Be careful. Have extra underwear and wipes.

Another thought. Perhaps book a hotel or Airbnb that has a kitchen/kitchenette so you can control how your food is prepared. I stayed at a Staybridge Suites near Times Square that as I recall had a kitchenette. It won’t be as fun as eating out, but it will help you avoid DianaD3’s situation.

I’ve been busy on my trip, so I haven’t checked this. But thanks for your snarky comment.
