I'm not trying to start rumors here. I'm just curious cause if you scroll down it says that a national tour is coming 2006.
You can hear some clips if you click on the "excerpt" part.

Steph sounds great on those clips.

looks like her there
This is from end of 2001 and NOW they're planning a national tour? If only I knew about it way back when...
Is it possible she'd accept to return to this role and travel with the show? Are they even offering? SO many questions!
Popular, here is a chew toy.

Thanks Logan LOL
Mmmmmm, tastes like chicken.
Wow,
This seems really promising. Would I be correct in assuming this true story is the same one that was the basis for the Natasha Richardson tv movie a while back? Either way Steph looks amazing and intense as always, and the music seemed very promising. I will watch this project pretty carefully I think.
I think Steph might be a little tired of touring, and want to head to Broadway after the tour ends.

some Block guy is a producer...is that like...a relation???
Stephanie ROCKS!
the show seems...interesting...

I don't think Steph will be involved in this project at the national tour level. She was amazing in the role when she performed it in Los Angeles -- as was the entire cast -- ensemble to leads, but the show will need some tightening on the road before Steph will be involved.
She's a big old star now...she needs to take star stuff...perhaps a new Jason Robert Brown show, or even a new Sondheim role would fit her resume best, I think.
Lol. Won of my close friends was in this show, and I saw it, way before anyone new or cared who steph was. she was brilliant, and so was the whole cast, but the show was awful. the music was laughable, and it just was soooo...ughhh. i dont believe that its going to be on tour. If it is, the score and book would need to be completely rewritten.
Well nothing is ever for sure in this business but the website states that it is definitely planning on touring in 2006.
bump. even if it's not a possibility at all, this clip shouldn't be missed :)
Music like that suits Ms. Block much better than that of "Wicked." I didn't care for her as Elphaba at all, but this is something I could love her in.

The producer Mr Block is no relation, and the music is very nice, yes. And the story is also pretty fantastic -- yes, based on the true story of Ruth Gruber (which was a miniseries a couple years ago -- up for a few Emmys).
Ruth Gruber came to the opening night of this show in LA, and was inspirational.
i think the music sounds like nice
Thanks Popular - WOW! I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Stephanie's voice - it's just sooo beautiful, I am looking forward to seeing her in something else, hope she's back on Broadway right after the tour is done.
who's the other actor in the clip w/Steph? He's got a gr8 voice.

His name is Mark Edgar Stephens (sp?). He was involved with the LA production of Bare, and also did the national tour of "Sunset Blvd".
VERY sweet guy, and very talented (as was the entire cast of the LA production of this).
I'm bumping this because the clip is awesome, and Stephanie sounds AMAZING as usual:)
She's NOT involved in the tour that's supposedly happening in 2006 - she told me so herself today.

whoa stephanies amazing in her clip (it is called I Sleep Alone right?) but she should be on broadway with a voice like that! she reminds me a lot of celine dion (looks and voice), but no one else thinks so!
She was fantastic in BFO - deserved a Tony nom....
