Count to Ten, The New Musical will be back in NYC this Sping!!! Its opening February 29th at The Connelly Theatre on East 4th Street. It's really an awesome show. Has great tap and and a wonderful origional score that really uplifts its audiences. Count To Ten is a tale of friendship, romance and growth. It takes place in NYC and a Theatre arts camp. Victor, the lead, takes his unfinished script to workshop at The Starwood Performing Arts camp after he cant get it produced on Broadway. He meets a tough talking teen and a ballet dancing camp owner. The Silver Proud number is definately my favorite!!!!! You should definately check it out. Theres really something in it for everyone.

I saw this show too in workshop at the 14th Street Theatre and it was excellent in all regards. A really great story just about people and relationships. Great music too and the tap dancing was incredible to put it mildly. I went with my sister, my 10 year old nephew, my 14 year old son, 16 year old daughter and 22 year old son plus my 73 year old mother - we all loved it! The kids haven't stopped singing the songs and swear it's waaaaay better than High School Musical (which I haven't seen). I think FINALLY AT LAST is one of the songs from the show - they sing so many of them! If you haven't had a chance to see it yet - you should see it at the Connelly downtown. It's a treat! I'm sure my gang and I will be going again! The theatre company producing the show has a website - I'll post the link below. See you at the show!

Posted: 3/2/08 at 4:57pmI also saw this show when it did a preview run in Johnson City, Tn. I thought the show over all was okay. The actors, who are also transfering to New York, were all horrible. The lead character over acts horribly. I hope yall make some changes.

Can I just say right here and now that I know Mr. Justin Boccitto, have worked with him on numerous shows over the past 2 1/2-3 years through regional theatre and concert mostly, think very hightly of and hold in high regard. Admittedly, I haven't seen this production in ANY of its incarnations, but *do* know that whatever he puts on a stage is pretty damn well-packaged and deserving of being there. My absolute very best to you and the rest of the bunch, Justin!
Best,

I'm actually excited about this project..it looks fabulous and I have a friend that saw it this past summer who liked it. I think that we should all be encouraging of new musicals, I don't think that bashing them or putting them down accomplishes anything for the theatre community.
I'm excited to see this show!

People aren't giving it a chance. I don't know, I haven't seen it either...but I think that we should be happy that a new show is getting a chance!! (And I think it's cheap to go...?)

Just went to the website and on the poster it says "Back by Popular Demand!" uh when was it in NYC the first time, and was it really that popular?
Not bashing, just asking!

I googled it really quickly and I found this

looks like they did a limited run in June? Hmm...I guess they got a good response to the run in June! Haha
I'm intrigued by the idea of an original story with lots of tap..
