Hi,
I'm thinking of buying tickets to Spring Awakening. My dad is going to use his credit card but the thing is he won't be with me when I go to the show. Will they still let me pick up the tickets at the box office without the credit card?

Generally not, they will ask to see the card to double check the last four digits. Sometimes you may get lucky and if they are busy they will just hand you the tickets and let it slide..
A better option for you would be to order the tickets online through either ticket master or telecharge and have them emailed to you directly. It has less service charges and you get them right away so you also don't have to spend valuable time waiting in line at the box office.
You also could choose the mail option if there is enough time between ordering and the performance date.
Hope that helps!

wait but r u going to the closing night performance? i didn't hear an announcement.
You're lucky that SPRING AWAKENING is a TeleCharge event (and not a TicketMaster event).
The reason I say this is because TeleCharge is the ONLY one to offer you the choice to have the tickets you purchased left at the box office/will call for another name/person. Shortly before finalizing your online order, TeleCharge asks if you wish to have the tickets left at the box office/will window for a different name. You then put the name of the person who will be picking the tickets up. That's it. They don't ask for any credit card, etc. Just keep in handy with you the TeleCharge Order Confirmation Number just in case there is a problem. If there is, this Order Confirmation Number brings up the order and they'll see your name as the Will Call pick-up name.
I've been ordering tickets for other guests/clients this way for over a decade without any problem.
NOTE: TicketMaster doesn't do this, which not only is annoying but vastly inconvenient for me when the event my guest/client wants to attend is handled by TicketMaster.

Brody, I have purchased tickets using someone elses credit card through ticketmaster and I had no problem picking them up at the BO window. All I did was give the other persons name.
Brody's suggestion is good, but I agree with Eponine3 ~ why not just do the email it to you option? You just print it out and take it with you. No waiting in line at the box office to pick it up. (And in my experience it does NOT take the full day to send it. Maybe a couple of hours.)

Thank you all for your advice and helpfulness
When I saw Sunday IN The Park With George (Not Telecharge or Ticketmaster) It was under my name (but my Mom's credit Card) and I printed out the confirmation sheet and they gave me no trouble at all, They barley looked at the sheet. I told them my name and that's it.
Studio 54's box office staff are the nicest I have ever dealt with, with the St. James in second.
Okay, I now have the same problem. I got last show tickets to [Title of Show] and they are under my name but it is my Dad's card... If I pick them up will I get a problem because it's his card? Or if he picks them up before the day will he get a problem because it's my name?

What you could try doing is calling Telecharge and telling them to leave the tix under your name, and then you would just need to show Photo ID. I think thats an option on Telecharge.com when u order the tix to leave em under a different name.
Hope I helped
