"Film producers Bob and Harvey Weinstein disclosed a major stage deal under their new firm, Weinstein Co., the first production of which will be 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.'

The Weinsteins have produced a number of shows on Broadway and in London, including 'The Producers.'"

It sounds to me like people are trying to get in on the niche market thing ala Spamalot.

Well, I can't say it will be bad, considering they haven't even written it or anything. But it could be visually pleasing. Just hope there's more to it than the visuals.
