I'm thinking about going to see Les Miz in Chicago in March. Has the touring company been getting good reviews? Anyone seen it?

It's Les Mis with Randal Keith....
See it!
I wish I could see it....AGAIN
It's supposed to be really good. I already have my tickets for the chicago run. The original Madm. Theadier (sp?) is in it (Jennifer Butt). The guy that plays valjean is amazing and so is his understudy.

Thénardier....
yes, I wanted to see her because it was her one line in MotH that sparked my interest in theatre...but it was no where near Philly or NY....

Randal Keith is amazing. See it.
Google news is a great resource for this kind of thing.

This cast is one of the strongest LM tour casts I've ever seen, and I've averaged seeing it about four times every year for the past ten years.

No, Musetta...tell me this cast isn't good?!
WHY WHY WHY doesn't it come near me!
Musetta, you were just joking...the cast sucks, right? Right? RIGHT?
::wink:: ::wink::

I love the picture of Randal holding Little Cosette up-side-down. Hahaha.
BSo, does Southwest Airlines service your area?
Well, let's put it this way... I have thirteen tickets to it under my roof. Now, only three are for me (i'm taking A LOT of friends...), but still, I'm seeing it three frickin' times while its in IL (twice in Chicago, once in Champagne). In October of 2003, I drove five hours to Springfield to see it, and was totally blown away (it was totally worth it). The man who plays Jean Valjean is AMAZING. One of- if not THE- best Jean Valjeans EVER. Its worth it to see him, really. And the rest of the cast should be decent at least (I'm really looking forward to the Thenardiers... hopefully they'll be better than last time I saw them).
I think you should go see it.
Well I think I'll probably go now after hearing such good things. I've never seen Les Miz before.

I'm a poor college student -
it was in pittsburgh and I begded to go - but to no avail...
I should also add (in the middle of this well-deserved Randal Keith love fest) that you shouldn't feel cheated if Randal is out. I haven't seen Roger Seyer, but I've heard good things about him. The other understudy is David Michael Felty, and he's AWESOME. He has a more country sound to his voice, but I'm surprised he never became the full-time Valjean at some point.

::missing Les Mis::
I haven't seen the show in, almost a year...well, a year in June....
WHAT IS MY LIFE COMING TO?
I saw Les Mis for the first time this fall, and I was highly skeptical about liking the show or the cast. (Eponine_Thenardier knows it was like pulling teeth for me to want to cover it!) I wound up LOVING it, partially because of the production quality itself, which is phenomenal for a touring show, but in great part because this cast is amazingly strong.
BsoBW2, I join the crying with you.
I watched Les Miz last year 6 times. However, this year Ivan and his son returned to the tour and I wanted so much to catch their performance. Their last day performance was in Pitzzbugh, which is the closed place to me, well, sort of, 5 hrs driving. I was so crazy that I really planned to drive there to watch the show. But I could not find partner and there was snow there.
It ended that people who went there watched Ivan as Valjean ( He's my favorite) and his son as Gavrosh in the same performance and at curtain call people gave them a warm cheering for their last day. I envied all of those who viewed the scene.
