I know the "festival circuit" has its detractors among established industry professionals like Jason Robert Brown, but there's not really much other chance for non-established artists to get their shows "out there" besides getting into a program like NYU and being groomed for success by the contacts they make there. Since NYMF's demise, are there any other really comparable theatre festivals with roughly the same mission and structure that will solicit and produce new musicals that aren't commissioned?
Just missed the Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals.
Not a festival but New York Theater Barn supports a lot of musicals in progress

Ah! I’m familiar with Theatre Barn! They promoted my show in 2016.
