I've been on a play-reading kick lately.
Fat Pig by Neil Labute
Homebody/Kabul: Final Revised Edition by Tony Kushner
Hollywood Arms by Carol Burnett and Carrie Hamilton
I've seen all of these plays onstage, but it's great re-living them on the page.

Posted: 2/1/06 at 10:49pmI FINALLY got The Da Vinci Code on reserve at the library for me today, so I put Angels & Demons aside and just read the prologue which reads really similar to the prologue in Angels and Demons. Hmmm . . .

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Marc Haddon.
It is a little confusing sometimes because it is written in the first person through an autistic child's point of view, but it is really good.

Without going to the link, should we all know what book Sharon Wheatley wrote?
No, that's a lot of people to expect that of. Isn't it nice I included a link?

Posted: 11/29/06 at 4:01pmLaVieHilary, you might like The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. It's not about drug or alcohol addiction, but it's semi-autobiographical (that's a mouthful..) and it deals with a young woman having a mental breakdown. Not exactly like A Million Little Pieces, but I think you'd like it if you haven't already read it :)
